Job Summary:
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings in Texas. This role involves effectively screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. The position requires adherence to regulatory and clinical standards, utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practices. The SLP will develop and adjust care plans, document patient progress, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: One year of Speech-Language Pathologist experience, long-term care or rehab experience preferred; active Texas State License; CCC certification; ability to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists; adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and required training sessions.
- Experience with documenting in electronic systems and maintaining patient records according to policy.
- Able to obtain necessary durable medical equipment or supplies per regulatory and clinical standards.
- Willing to accept one reference at the time of submission.
