Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ year of experience for a Level III Trauma acute care hospital, requiring ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (CT), and BLS certifications.

Details

  • Level III Trauma, Acute Care Hospital setting with 286 staffed beds
  • Performs CT exams on inpatient, outpatient (Friday only), ER, and scheduled interventional cases (Friday only)
  • Patient population ranges from newborn through geriatrics
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours, Friday-Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
  • On-call rotation required Monday-Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM, approximately every 4-5 weeks
  • Does not float between service lines or to sister facilities
  • Epic EMR preferred
  • Uses PACS system

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a CT Technologist
  • Current ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (CT), and BLS certifications required
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or completed student clinical rotation with ARRT certification by end of rotation
  • State license required if applicable, must be in hand at time of start (pending license not accepted)
  • Skilled in starting peripheral IVs, contrast preparation and administration, and performing biopsies
  • Must provide own radiation badge

Additional Information

  • Reports to the CT manager and director of radiology
  • Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols for physician interpretation
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Previous MUSC perm staff or PRN employees must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
  • Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local
  • Scrub color requirement is teal top and black bottom
  • No parking cost
  • Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
  • Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September)
