Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CCL TECH) in Brownsville, Texas, is responsible for supporting interventional cardiovascular procedures within a dedicated cardiac catheterization unit. This role involves assisting with complex heart catheterizations, pacemakers, AICD, Watchman procedures, and EP ablations, utilizing advanced equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification, with previous experience in Interventional Catheterization, Peripheral and Coronary Cardiovascular procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electrophysiology (EP) procedures and procedures involving devices such as pacemakers, AICD, Watchman, and EP ablations.
- Unit Information:
- Location: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at a healthcare facility in Brownsville, Texas.
- Address: 100-A Alton Gloor Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78526.
- Number of Beds: 2 Cath Labs.
- Staff: 2 monitor technicians, 2 registered nurses; 2 techs.
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 during procedures.
- Equipment: Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella, stents, balloons, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), Ultrasound.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech.
- Schedule: 8-hour days, including callbacks with a 30-minute response time.
- Additional Information: The unit performs heart caths, interventions, pacemaker placements, AICD, Watchman procedures, and electrophysiology ablations. On-call responsibilities include every other weekend and every other night during the week.
