Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and an active SC or Multi-State Compact PT license.
Details
- Hospital-based outpatient rehab unit setting
- Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 8:00am-4:30pm
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Possible holiday coverage required
- Possible floating within scope to like units or sister facilities
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- SC or Multi-State Compact Physical Therapist License required at start of contract, if applicable
- Prior travel experience required
- Skills include assessment, assistive devices, pain assessment, skin integrity, documentation, evaluation, and plan of care
- Experience with patient/family education and safety and injury prevention
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, and development of plans of care in an outpatient setting
- Scrub color is pewter
- Free parking available on-site
- First-time travelers not accepted for this position
- Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous MUSC perm staff or PRN employees must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, with approval based on facility needs
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2-week period
- During hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September) employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
