Job Summary
Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Technologist in Illinois. This position involves assisting with invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures within a cardiology laboratory setting. The role includes preparing the procedure room, monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, and ensuring all supplies and instruments are ready for use. The technologist will participate in departmental meetings, performance improvement activities, and in the training of new staff to support high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ARRT-R certification, license as required by Illinois state, and ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional Technologist), VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCI); minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular laboratory or interventional radiology department; cardiovascular technologist training with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred; BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained current; ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire; proficient computer skills
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in interventional radiology or cardiology laboratory environments, additional certifications in related specialties, advanced training in invasive cardiology techniques
- Additional Information: The selected candidate will assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures, monitor and interpret physiologic data, and maintain sterile operative environments. Participation in departmental quality improvement activities is expected.
