Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) position located in Madisonville, Texas. This role involves providing quality therapy services within a 25-bed critical access hospital, serving skilled nursing patients with an average length of stay of 14 days. The OT will also float to outpatient care within the same facility. The position offers a comprehensive clinical experience, welcoming new graduates with at least six months of relevant experience.
Job Details:
- Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with no weekends and no call, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Texas and national license, at least 6 months of experience in Skilled/Acute setting, outpatient experience preferred, BLS (AHA) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Special Notes: Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with the organization within the past year. Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination. OT services are delivered in an inpatient acute care setting with occasional floating to outpatient services, scheduled with at least one week's notice.
- Unit Notes: Profiles are sent directly to the unit for consideration. A copy of the driver's license is needed at submission to validate legal name. Certification and license should be current and reflect the name on a government-issued ID. No tech services available in Madisonville.
- Additional Information: The therapist will participate in discharge planning, implement treatment programs, and co-manage patient care within an interdisciplinary team framework. Onboarding includes pathways learning, onsite education, and shadowing. The facility can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment or three shifts for shorter assignments.
