Job Summary
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is based in the Illinois area. This role involves supporting high-risk coronary and neurointerventional procedures within an acute care setting. The technologist will be responsible for scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during procedures, with an emphasis on STEMI interventions and neuro interventional procedures. The schedule includes five days of nine-hour shifts per week, with on-call duties as required.
Job Details
- Schedule: 9 hours per shift, 5 days a week, with a start time of either 0700 or 0830 as assigned.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as ARRT Radiologic Technologist (RT-R), current Illinois license or confirmation of application initiation, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience, and valid ARRT certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk coronary interventions, STEMI scrubbing and circulation, neuro interventional procedures, and familiarity with Epic/McKesson electronic medical record systems.
- Additional Information: The position requires the ability to scrub and circulate STEMI interventions and a willingness to learn neuro interventional monitoring and circulating procedures. The role involves participation in a 4 x 9-hour shifts schedule with call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute call response time. Floater opportunities to electrophysiology (EP) or interventional radiology (IR) units may be required. Orientation consists of five shifts during the first week.
- Submission Requirements: Last four (4) digits of clinician's Social Security Number, clinician's middle initial, requested time off, active Illinois license or proof of application process, and confirmation that the candidate understands the requirement for a drug-free campus and negative drug screen.
