Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification and ED, inpatient, and outpatient experience for a night-shift role.
Details
- CT Tech unit within adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, and Level II Trauma Center settings
- Requires floating between ED, main campus, outpatient, and nearby clinics
- 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday-Thursday, 21:30-8:00
- Epic EMR experience required
- GE equipment and PACS system used
- No call requirement
- Must work scheduled shifts that fall on holidays
Requirements
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
- ED, inpatient, and outpatient experience required
- Epic and GE equipment experience required
- Skilled in image display and post-processing, 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and vascular CT studies
- Proficient in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
- Compact or LA license required in hand at time of submission
- License required if applicable
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic CT imaging across ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings including trauma, oncology, and vascular studies
- Facility does not accept first-time travelers
- Must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing if not already licensed
- Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to starting contract; Charge RN references not accepted
- Former Ochsner Health permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- RTO must be disclosed on profile and discussed during interview
- Orientation held five days per week
- Does not accept local candidates; must reside more than 65 miles from facility
