Job Summary
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (CCL TECH) located in the region is responsible for performing and assisting with procedures within the Cardiovascular Procedural Area (CVPA). This role involves applying ionizing radiation, ensuring patient safety, maintaining image quality, and adhering to safety standards under the supervision of physicians. The position requires a focus on procedural support, patient safety, and equipment operation in a critical care environment.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program, current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), current license as a Radiologic Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with a minimum of two (2) years post-technical school radiology work experience or equivalent as a Special Procedures Technologist. Must meet additional qualifications including successful completion of on-the-job training within six months of hire, six months recent experience as a Special Procedures Technologist, and current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Additional information: The technologist will assist in all aspects of invasive and diagnostic procedures, operate radiologic and interventional equipment, support patient safety and comfort, maintain inventory and equipment, and participate in ongoing education and departmental initiatives. On-call responsibilities during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays are required.
