Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1 year of PT experience with LTC or Rehab background.
Details
- 13-week assignment in a Long Term Care (LTC) facility
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
- No weekend or on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
- New grads considered if Level II clinical experience completed (Level I observation does not qualify)
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- Active OK state PT license required (license required if applicable)
- Compact license not accepted
- One reference required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
- Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Administer treatments including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercise, modalities, and use of assistive devices
- Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
- Communicate with supervisors and interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
- Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and in-services
- Supervise physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
- Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
- Maximum of 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
