Description
American Traveler is hiring a night-shift CT Technologist/X-Ray Tech for an orthopedic hospital setting, requiring dual CT and X-ray proficiency and Siemens equipment experience.
Details
- Specialty orthopedic hospital setting located in Manhattan
- Caseload of up to 20 patients per shift in a low-volume, steady-paced environment
- Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Exams performed in exam rooms and via portable equipment
- May rotate across multiple departments within the hospital or an affiliated private sector location
- Work settings include outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU
- X-ray procedures include extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Night shift schedule of 5x8 hours, Monday to Friday, from midnight to 8:30 AM with a 30-minute lunch
- First two weeks of the assignment require day shift training before transitioning to regular night schedule
- Works independently due to very low patient volume on this shift
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- NYS license required, license required if applicable
- IV Certification required
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- BLS certification required
- Experience operating Siemens equipment required
- Proficiency in performing both CT scans and X-rays required
- Must be comfortable working independently on night shifts
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment in excess of 150 pounds, with or without assistive devices
Additional Information
- Perform dual-role CT and X-ray imaging in an orthopedic specialty hospital environment
- Charcoal grey scrubs required
- COVID vaccination required with no exceptions
- First-time travelers accepted for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Returning NYU staff must wait 1 year before becoming eligible to return as a traveler
- Requested time off should be 5 days or less, with no RTO permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
