Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)

Key Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy services to geriatric and adult patients on a 12-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
- Evaluate and treat patients with diagnoses including CVA, hip fractures, myopathies, and general debility
- Perform and assist with physical patient transfers using available lift equipment
- Document patient care and progress accurately using Epic EHR
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Float to med/surg unit as needed and as interested
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active OT licensure in the state of Texas (or eligibility)
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
- Comfort and proficiency performing physical patient transfers
- Prior inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Arjo lift equipment
- Experience working with geriatric and adult patient populations
- Work in a structured ARU environment with a collaborative, team-oriented culture that values adaptability and strong interpersonal skills
- Gain experience in a facility utilizing Epic EHR with no on-call requirements
