We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team for a maternity leave coverage assignment. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated therapy professional to join a supportive clinical environment while ensuring continuity of care during a temporary assignment. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, adaptable, and committed to delivering evidence-based therapy that helps patients achieve their communication and swallowing goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Assess and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to maximize rehabilitation outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing safety, compensatory techniques, and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on improving communication, swallowing function, and overall quality of life
Requirements
- Required: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Required: Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice or ability to obtain
- Preferred: Previous clinical experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing setting
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, where applicable
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
