Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an evening shift community hospital position requiring 1+ year of CT experience and Cannon CT system experience.

Details

  • Work in a community hospital setting supporting outpatient, inpatient, OR, and ER patients
  • CT department with 2 rooms and an average daily caseload of 50
  • Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Schedule includes every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with two additional flexible weekdays
  • Every weekend shift required
  • No call requirements
  • No block scheduling available
  • Perform CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and CTA studies
  • Patient ratio of 1:1
  • May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
  • ARRT(R) and BLS certification required
  • Experience with Cannon CT system required
  • Toshiba scanner experience preferred
  • PACS experience required
  • IV start experience preferred
  • Epic/Excellian charting experience required
  • Experience in teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I settings preferred
  • Skilled in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurement
  • Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
  • License required if applicable
  • First-time travelers will be considered

Additional Information

  • Perform a variety of CT procedures across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, and spine/musculoskeletal regions
  • Utilize image display and post-processing tools including 3D rendering and MPR
  • Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
  • Perform portable X-ray as needed
  • Local candidates accepted for this radiology position
  • Returning employees must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as staff or per diem
  • RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
