Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 1+ year of specialty experience and Canon CT system experience for a community hospital position.
Details
- Community hospital setting supporting outpatient, inpatient, OR, and ER work
- CT Tech unit with 2 rooms and a daily caseload of 50
- Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 2:30 PM-10:30 PM
- Every weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with flexible scheduling for remaining two days
- No call requirements
- No block scheduling
- 1:1 patient ratio
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and CTAs
- Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Epic/Excellian charting system required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required in specialty
- ARRT and BLS certification required; license required if applicable
- Canon CT system experience required
- Toshiba scanner experience preferred
- PACS experience required; IV start experience preferred
- Experience with image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
- Adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient experience
- Emergency department experience
- Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- First-time travelers will be considered
Additional Information
- Local candidates accepted for this radiology position without radius restriction
- Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment (staff or per diem) for at least 3 months prior to starting
- RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
- Pre-start modules are required prior to starting the assignment
- Reference from previous employment may not be available due to facility policy on providing references to travelers
