Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Technologist position is based in Lodi, California. This role involves assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures within the specialized cardiac care unit. The technologist will support the surgical team in preparing and maintaining sterile fields, operating specialized imaging equipment, and ensuring optimal patient care during interventional cardiology procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED; Associates or Technical Degree preferred; minimum of 2 years recent experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology; Certified Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS) certification or equivalent; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with solo scrubbing during open heart procedures, ability to take call 50% of the time, including full-week rotations; experience in general OR cases such as robotics, orthopedics, urology, or gynecology; training or teaching experience with RN staff.
- Essential Functions: Prepare for each procedure by checking supplies and equipment; operate imaging and monitoring equipment during procedures; maintain sterile techniques and proper equipment labeling; document case data accurately; assist with patient transport and setup; perform equipment cleaning and housekeeping duties as needed; perform other duties related to interventional cardiac procedures.
- Additional Information: The role requires adherence to hospital safety protocols, including all mandatory vaccinations. The facility participates in E-Verify, and applicants must acknowledge understanding of the E-Verify participation process.
