Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT(R)/BLS certification for a fast-paced IR unit.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit with a 50/50 split of inpatient and outpatient cases
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call required: 2 full weekends within a 6-week period and 9 weeknights
- Floating required to First Hill Campus for regular shifts and call coverage
- Patient diagnoses include biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, peripheral vascular, pulmonary, CT, endovascular lab, and stent placement cases
- Required procedures include Y-90 chemoembolization, GI bleed management, TPA administration, vein sampling, phase 2 recovery, and cryoablations
- Uses Pyxis medication dispensing system and Epic for documentation
- Utilizes Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment, ultrasound, and PACS
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience preferred
- Current ARRT(R) and BLS certification required
- WA state license required if applicable
- Epic experience required
- Proficiency in venous access, central line care, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Experience with procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, and biopsies
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, sterile technique, and equipment setup
- Ability to work in both Interventional Radiology and Hybrid OR settings

- First-time travelers accepted
- Returning Providence employees must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months and reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
- Must include a response regarding any prior employment history with Providence facilities
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- May be required to float between sister facilities within the region
