Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 5 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab and RT, RCIS, or CVT credentialing for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Level 3 trauma facility with 263 beds
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department on the 1st floor
- Adult and geriatric patient population with cardiac and peripheral vascular disease diagnoses
- 3-person team staffing per case
- Uses Philips Cathlab (x4) and Merge Hemo (x4) equipment
- Meditech EHR system
- Shift options of 0600-1630 or 0700-1530
- Weekend on-call coverage from Friday 1630 to Monday 0600
- Call requirements of every 4th day and every 4th weekend
- No float requirements
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab required, though less experience may be considered for candidates from high-volume cath labs
- Current ACLS and BLS certification required
- RT, RCIS, or CVT credentialing required, if applicable
- Must be skilled in monitoring and scrubbing on cath lab procedures
- Experience with cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures required
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a 3-person team
- Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

- Responsibilities include monitoring and scrubbing on cardiac cath lab procedures
- Candidates should be patient-focused, team-oriented, and maintain a positive attitude
- Black scrubs required; torn clothing and inappropriate slogans or language are not permitted
- Weekly orientations are held for new travelers
- Local candidates may be considered if their permanent address is not within 60 miles of the facility
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
