Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for an Adult Outpatient Rehab position requiring NM state licensure with CCCs and 1+ year of experience

Details

  • Hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation clinic setting
  • Adult Outpatient Rehab specialty treating adults and teens
  • Common diagnoses include dysphagia, aphasia, voice disorders, dysarthria, and cognition
  • Sees approximately 10-14 scheduled patients per day
  • Cerner EHR system used for documentation
  • Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Clinic operates Monday through Friday
  • 36 guaranteed hours with 40 scheduled hours per week
  • Unpaid 30-minute lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM

Requirements

  • Current NM state SLP license required if applicable
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) required
  • BLS certification required
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience with adult rehabilitation preferred
  • Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) experience preferred
  • Education requirements based on NM State Licensing Board standards

Additional Information

  • Provide speech-language pathology services for adult and teen outpatient populations
  • Treat conditions including dysphagia, aphasia, voice disorders, dysarthria, and cognitive impairments
  • Work alongside a Site Coordinator, SLP Coordinator, and Rehab Office Coordinator
  • Expected to attend mandatory meetings, with timecard adjustments if meetings occur during unpaid lunch break
  • Dress code requires dark gray (pewter) top and black pants, scrubs or polo/button-up shirt, no jeans permitted
  • All required vaccinations must be verified prior to starting
