Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position located in Weston, Wisconsin. This role involves monitoring, circulating, and scrubbing cardiac catheterization procedures, primarily focusing on patients with diagnoses such as coronary artery disease, heart attack, heart failure, and related conditions. The position requires providing high-quality patient care within an acute care setting, adhering to hospital protocols, and supporting the medical team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shifts, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association; minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting; license to submit not required; location within 80 miles of the facility.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required depending on locum coverage.
- Additional Information:
- Unit notes specify a cardiology department with 4 suites/labs including 3 cardiac and 1 electrophysiology lab.
- Typical daily case volume includes 6-7 cardiac cases and 1-2 vascular interventional radiology cases.
- Common patient diagnoses include coronary artery disease, non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), heart failure, and aortic stenosis.
- Equipment used includes Cerner and Merge electronic medical records systems.
- Cardiologist on-call hours are from 7:00 to 17:00 or until cases are completed.
- Work environment requires hospital-supplied scrubs and unit-specific orientation.
- Shift work may include 1-2 weeknights per week, every 3rd weekend, and on-call duties with a 30-minute response time.
- All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility and adhere to the cancellation policy, which allows cancellations up to 12 hours prior every 13 weeks.
