Description
American Traveler is looking for a Physical Therapist - Outpatient with 2+ years experience and a CA PT license for a hospital-based outpatient rehab setting with inpatient coverage as needed.
Details
- Hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation setting with inpatient coverage as needed based on census
- Day shift schedule: 4x10 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Requires flexibility with work schedule, including days of week and hours
- Epic charting system preferred
Requirements
- CA Physical Therapist License required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
- Preferred certifications include Hand Therapy, Lymphedema, Manual Therapy, Wound Care, and Dry Needling
- Experience with outpatient clinic, acute care, rehabilitation hospital, and pediatric settings preferred
- Skilled in assessment techniques including AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, gait training, and pain assessment
- Experience with orthopedic conditions such as joint replacements, spinal conditions, and sports injuries preferred
- Experience with neurologic conditions such as stroke rehabilitation, TBI, and Parkinson's disease preferred
- Familiarity with modalities including E-stim, ultrasound, TENS, and traction preferred
- Experience providing clinical supervision to PTAs and aides
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment programs
- Develops and updates patient Plan of Care based on evaluation findings
- Provides clinical supervision to assistants and aides and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students
- Coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary team members
- Completes documentation for patient evaluations, treatment, and charge capture per established standards
- Participates in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment and properly inspects and maintains equipment
- Adheres to all regulations to protect patient privacy and PHI
- Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
- Returning employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
