Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience for a role spanning invasive cardiology and interventional radiology procedures.
Details
- Work in a combined Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology setting performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On call required 1 day per week and every 3rd weekend in rotation
- Candidates will float within the hospital based on census
- Community hospital setting
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab environment required
- Current ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R), and Fluoro Permit certifications required (license required if applicable)
- RCIS certification preferred
- Community hospital experience required
- Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, and pacemaker insertion
- Experience with interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and IVC filter placement/removal
- Experience with vascular studies such as dialysis graft interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and carotid angiography
- Skilled in genitourinary and neurological interventional procedures including nephrostomy, biliary drainage, and vertebroplasty
- Experience maintaining sterile fields, scrubbing for procedures, and performing equipment set up
- Familiarity with PACS and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
- Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
- One professional reference required within the past 2 years
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include prepping access sites, monitoring patients during procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and stocking/maintaining equipment
- Perform a broad range of cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures including EP studies, cardiac ablation, and cardiac mapping
- Adheres to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Previous staff members employed permanently at this facility are not eligible for this assignment
- Local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
