Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) imaging is needed for an acute care facility in Redding, California. This position involves working the night shift, providing diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced environment, including operating C-arm equipment in the operating room and collaboration with an in-house radiologist until 6 pm. The role requires flexibility to work holidays and varying call shifts, with orientation to be completed in 1-2 shifts.
Job Details:
- Location: Redding, California
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Specific shift times will be provided by the facility upon interview submission.
- Required Qualifications: Valid certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), and COVID vaccination. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience performing CT procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Level II Trauma experience is preferred but not required. Experience working in a fast-paced radiology department and familiarity with Cerner and Philips iPatient systems are preferred.
- Additional Information: The position involves working in diverse areas including the operating room and emergency room, with inpatient and outpatient cases. Candidates should be self-starters accustomed to a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Night shift staffing may be more challenging due to fewer resources, so adaptability is essential.
- Charting System: Cerner
- Licensing: Must hold valid licensing to submit applications.
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ARRT radiologic technologist certification, and COVID vaccination are required.
- Shift Notes: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, first to float.
