Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist position is based in Tyler, Texas. This full-time role involves supporting vascular and neurointerventional procedures within a 650-bed healthcare facility, utilizing fluoroscopy, computed tomography, laser, and ultrasonography equipment. The successful candidate will assist in complex procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort, and contribute to efficient workflow in the interventional labs.
Job Details
- Schedule: 5 days, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography (Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI)) by ARRT, current state licensure in Texas, graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent, one year of training or experience in special procedures and interventional radiology, basic computer skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: BLS certification (American Heart Association), ACLS certification preferred.
- Additional Information: Experience in vascular and neurointerventional procedures required, with a focus on assisting during procedures, patient teaching, inventory management, and maintaining compliance with state, federal, and hospital policies. Ability to follow PACS downtime procedures and troubleshoot equipment is essential. Flexibility to work other shifts and campuses as needed is expected.
