Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT CT certification for a night shift teaching hospital assignment.
Details
- Work in a CT department with 8 rooms
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Special procedures include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, drainage, vascular CTA, head and neck imaging, spine and musculoskeletal imaging, chest imaging, cardiac imaging, and abdomen/pelvis studies
- Uses GE, Siemens, and PACS equipment
- Epic EMR experience required
- 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT CT certification required
- Michigan state license required in-hand at time of consideration (not compact); license required if applicable
- Experience with GE, Siemens, and PACS equipment
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts
- Skilled in image display and post-processing including multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and region of interest (ROI) measurement
- Two professional references required from a manager or supervisor (charge RNs not accepted)
Additional Information
- Perform a range of CT procedures across neuro, spine, musculoskeletal, chest, cardiac, and abdominal/pelvic imaging
- Level I and Level II Trauma Center environment
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Candidates cannot apply if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
- Perm staff may return as travelers after 1 year of separation
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with no time off allowed during the first week of the contract
- Required certifications must be obtained prior to the start date
- Traveler pairs are not accepted for this assignment
