Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans that improve patients' communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy to improve communication, swallowing function, and cognitive abilities.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies to support continued progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility to obtain.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (if required by facility).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, skilled nursing, pediatrics, or home health is preferred but not required depending on the position.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with dysphagia evaluations and treatment.
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
