Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience for a Level 3 Trauma hospital setting requiring independent peripheral IV insertion skills.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient CT scanning across 4 rooms with an average caseload of 12-24 patients per day
- Level 3 Trauma hospital with 237 beds and 59 ED treatment areas, handling a substantial volume of Stroke Alerts
- Perform CT scans on IP, ER, and OP patients following facility protocols and policies
- Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
- 2x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Saturday-Sunday
- Uses Siemens and Philips CT scanners, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS
- Up to 4 on-call days (24-hour periods) may be assigned with 2-week prior notice
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS and ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
- License required if applicable
- Must be able to independently start peripheral IVs and obtain patient consent
- Experience with abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT imaging
- Experience with special procedures including brain perfusion and vascular CTA
- Proficiency with Siemens and Philips CT equipment and Fuji PACS preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Collaborate with a team of technologists, nurses, doctors, and transporters in a positive and productive work environment
- Gray scrubs required
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work them; if three major holidays fall during the assignment, two must be worked
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
