Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
- ARRT Certification:
- R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR
- R.T. (R)(ARRT)
- Current Radiologic Technologist license in applicable state
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from approved provider
State-Specific Requirements
California (CA):
- RT license required
- Fluoroscopy license required if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture certification required if administering contrast
- Advanced CT certification preferred
Oregon (OR) & Hawaii (HI):
- Advanced CT certification required
Facility Requirement
- Venipuncture (IV) certification required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures for adolescent through geriatric patients
- Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist review
- Transfer images accurately using PACS and teleradiology systems
- Maintain documentation, records, and billing information
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration
- Manage imaging supplies and inventory
- Complete additional duties as assigned
