United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a motivated Radiologic Technology student to serve as a Radiology Associate, providing essential support to the Radiology Department. This role is designed to develop practical skills and prepare students for a career as a Radiologic Technologist. Responsibilities include all general radiologic processes; assisting technical and clerical staff, facilitating patient and equipment transport, maintaining supplies, supporting patient flow, and performing quality assurance tasks. The position emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality customer service for patients, medical staff, employees, and regulatory agencies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely from waiting areas and hospital rooms to radiologic procedure areas.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies, maintaining linens, and ensuring cleanliness of procedural areas.
  • Support patient transfers between stretchers, wheelchairs, and examination tables, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide administrative support through completion of general clerical tasks.
  • Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Required:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Current enrollment in a Radiologic Technology education program

Preferred:

  • Previous Radiology work experience

Work Environment

  • The work requires some physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, stretching, and lifting moderately heavy items such as manuals and boxes.
  • The work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions; e.g., exposure to contagious diseases. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, gowns, gloves, or shields
