Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift | 7 On / 7 Off Rotating Schedule (shifts run approximately 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and advanced CT scanning procedures including CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures
- Perform basic radiographic procedures including fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services
- Administer and manage studies with and without contrast media, applying knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and surgical/sterile procedures
- Provide timely diagnostic imaging services to both inpatient and outpatient populations under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols
- Operate as the sole overnight technologist at a freestanding emergency department location, demonstrating independent clinical judgment and proficiency
- Maintain knowledge of CT system processing and ensure compliance with imaging protocols and safety standards
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
- Active ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Valid state license as a general radiographer in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain)
- Minimum of 3 years of CT technologist experience
- Prior travel or contract assignment experience in a fast-paced emergency or acute care setting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an overnight or low-staffing environment
- Opportunity to gain valuable experience as the primary overnight CT/Radiology technologist at a freestanding emergency department
- Consistent 7 on / 7 off rotating schedule providing extended time off between work blocks
