Cardiac Technologist Job Description
Seeking an experienced Cardiac Technologist to join our team in the Cath Lab. This role involves performing x-rays and scrubbing during various cardiac procedures, including but not limited to left heart catheterizations (LHC), right heart catheterizations (RHC), implantation of devices, peripheral interventions, and carotid procedures.
Shift InformationThe position requires availability for a day shift consisting of four 10-hour days, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Additional coverage for call is expected, with one weekday assigned and one weekend every four weeks on a rotating schedule. Holiday coverage will also be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the Cath Lab is required; a preference for at least 2 years of direct experience is noted.
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- ACLS certification is required.
- IEMA certification required for the state of Illinois.
- Perform x-ray imaging for various cardiac procedures.
- Assist in scrubbing and supporting the cardiac team during procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory protocols within the Cath Lab.
- Collaborate with medical staff and contribute to patient care team efforts.
