Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma center, requiring ARRT certification in CT and Radiography with at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- Level I Trauma center setting within the CT department
- Adult acute care patient population including ED, ICU, and trauma cases
- Typical volume of 270-290 scans per day
- GE and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment
- Charts using EPIC EMR
- Night shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (1800-0630), 3x12 hours
- Call assigned within staff rotation
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Travelers are first to float
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience, though less may be considered for candidates with Level I or II trauma experience
- Large hospital and Level I/II Trauma experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- OH State License required if applicable; pending license accepted
- Registered with ARRT (CT preferred, R required)
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with GE and/or Toshiba/Canon CT equipment
- EPIC charting experience required
- Skilled in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
- Proficient in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest/vascular CT studies
- Experience with coronary and vascular CTA preferred
Additional Information
- Performs and completes diagnostic CT and radiographic procedures following departmental and ARRT guidelines
- Prepares patients for exams and positions them properly per department policy
- Ensures radiation safety for both patients and operators
- Charcoal grey scrubs required
- Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing, and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours
- Maximum 10 days RTO per contract, with no RTO allowed during initial weeks of assignment
- References not required for consideration
- Permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible to apply
- First-time travelers will be considered
- More than one call-off may result in termination, and no call/no show results in immediate termination
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space with no pass required
