Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of acute care experience to perform X-rays and CT scans, including rotating weekends.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting performing CT and X-ray imaging
- Adult acute care and outpatient population, with some pediatric and ED cases
- 5x8 variable day shifts, either 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 9:30 AM-6:00 PM
- Rotating weekends required
- Uses GE equipment and PACS system
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- ARRT-R certification required
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- Radiology Fluoroscopy (RHF) license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience in an acute care setting
- CA state license required
- Skilled in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT studies
- Experience preparing and administering contrast media
- Proficient in radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
- Experience with peripheral IV starts and venipuncture preferred
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic CT scans and X-rays across a range of studies including vascular, cardiac, and trauma imaging
- Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday allowed to be requested
- Accepts local candidates at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers may be considered
