Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position located in Bryan, Texas. This opportunity involves providing physical therapy services within an acute care setting, primarily focusing on adult patients with a range of medical conditions including trauma, neuro, oncology, and surgical cases. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced hospital environment with a primary focus on inpatient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekends; a compensatory day is provided during the week for any weekend worked.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist; minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient or acute care settings; no specific degree requirements listed; preference for candidates with adult acute clinical experience including trauma and critical care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level III trauma center, telemetry, ortho, surgical, critical care, neuro, oncology, or general medical units; strong adult acute clinical background including trauma and critical care.
- Shift Hours and Minimum Hours Per Week: 8 hours daily, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Start Date: 08/24/2026.
- Additional Information: The role involves orientation to the hospital, EMR system (Meditech), and hospital protocols over 3-5 days depending on the candidate's experience level with acute care. The typical patient population includes adults or older teens, with minimal pediatric cases. Call outs are discouraged, and there may be a possibility of precepting as needed. Physical therapy evaluations are expected to be completed at a rate of one per hour, with treatments performed as appropriate. Candidates must submit a copy of their driver's license reflecting their legal name, with a requirement that candidates have not been directly employed full or part-time by any facility associated with the organization within the past year.
