Warehouse Manager

A growing manufacturer within the specialty chemicals industry is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and inventory management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will lead a team of approximately six employees and play a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient movement of materials throughout the operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations for inbound and outbound materials
• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately six warehouse personnel
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping paperwork, and inventory documentation
• Oversee hazardous materials storage, labeling, handling, and transportation in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and other applicable regulations
• Partner closely with operations, customer service, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth logistics flow
• Manage freight scheduling, carrier relationships, and shipment coordination
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and warehouse organization initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement efforts related to warehouse efficiency, safety, and cost control
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements
• Monitor KPIs related to shipping accuracy, inventory performance, and warehouse productivity

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse and/or logistics leadership experience within manufacturing, chemicals, flavors, ingredients, food, or related industries
• Prior experience supervising warehouse personnel in a hands-on operational environment
• Strong understanding of Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documentation, and freight coordination
• Experience handling and shipping hazardous materials required
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and hazmat compliance regulations
• Inventory management and warehouse systems experience preferred
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift certification or experience preferred

Preferred Background

• Specialty chemicals, flavors, ingredients, food manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Experience working within regulated manufacturing or distribution environments
• ERP/WMS system experience is a plus
