Milwright Mechanic

Openwork (Formerly Meador Staffing) is hiring an experienced Millwright for a full-time opportunity with a reputable manufacturing company. If you have strong mechanical skills, welding experience, and enjoy working in an industrial environment, we'd love to hear from you!

• $18.00$22.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Monday Friday
• 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
• Overtime available as needed

• Install, assemble, and align industrial machinery and mechanical systems according to specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment by replacing defective parts as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain river blending mixers and Roper pumps.
• Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and levels, to ensure proper equipment alignment.
• Fabricate, modify, and weld parts for equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues using sound troubleshooting techniques.
• Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Utilize production schedules to prioritize maintenance and repair activities.
• Follow all company safety policies, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs performed, and parts used.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 25 years of Millwright experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Welding experience is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to lift 2050 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work while standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Commitment to following all workplace safety procedures.

• Industrial manufacturing environment.
• Must be comfortable working around machinery, elevated noise levels, varying temperatures, and industrial chemicals while following all required safety guidelines.
