THE ROLE
We are searching for a new role - a Data Engineering Lead - to join our client's team in the company's downtown Denver office. In this newly created position, you will join a small, growing team to lead the architecture, build, and future iterations and improvements on an internal analytics data platform that supports key functional areas and business partners in a private-equity backed, global SaaS environment. This role will work deeply on constructing high‑quality data pipelines, a trusted Snowflake data warehouse, and well‑modeled datasets to drive performance and decision-making throughout the organization.
This role is hybrid to the Denver, CO area.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ELT workflows for ingesting, transforming, and integrating data from diverse sources.
Take ownership of a Snowflake-based data warehouse incorporating dbt best practices.
Write and iterate on complex SQL for large datasets while maintaining strong performance and accuracy.
Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Build and integrate with APIs and services to expose integrated data to downstream applications and analytics platforms.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience building and operating production-grade data platforms, including scalable data pipelines and cloud data warehouses.
3+ years of experience using dbt to build data warehouse solutions.
Strong knowledge and experience in SQL, Python, and data modeling.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and tools like Databricks, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory.
Experience with Snowflake, Rivery, dbt preferred
Understanding of Gen AI concepts including LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and vector databases.
