Position Summary:

As a Replenishment Buyer, you will manage the inventory in the WDC for assigned vendors to achieve assigned key performance indicators (fill rate, days cost of sales, aged inventory).             

Responsibilities:

1. Purchase and Manage inventory levels of assigned vendors to ensure targeted fill rates are achieved

2. Analyze Data to determine appropriate order quantities, inventory level and replenishment strategy

3. Communicating with suppliers and carriers to arrange timely and accurate delivery of purchase orders

4. Identifying & creating solutions to a variety of inventory conditions to avoid spoils and aged inventory.

5. Managing fill-rate, aged inventory and expiry report within assigned buyer groups.

6. Partner with the category management team for seasonal planning and implementation of new items and any strategic objectives.

7. Preparing reports and records related to buying and inventory activities

8. Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes and best practices (material planning, Logistics, Demand planning, S&OP process, fulfillment, KPI’s and Continuous improvement)

9. High aptitude with various MRP software/platforms and ability to quickly learn and utilize in house system

10. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

INTERNAL: Price Book Team; Merchandising/Planogram Team, IT Department; Strategic Sourcing; Finance Team; Supply Chain/Warehouse Team, Retail Operations Team: Retail Vice President’s

Requirements

Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Business Administration

Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related fields.

Minimum Experience:

  • Strong computer skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products
  • 2 Years of Experience using an MRP system

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong math skills as well as inventory management, product forecasting and product purchasing/coordination experience.
  • 5 Years of experience using an MRP system

  • Must be well organized and detail/process oriented.  Must also possess strong communication skills, which include a pleasant and professional phone manner.  Should be able to successfully work within a fast-paced environment

Travel: 0-5% travel required

Hours & Conditions: Typically Monday – Friday,  8+ hour days in office setting

Physical Requirements: Minimal physical effort required; sitting / standing at computer for long periods of time.  Ability to maneuver and lift up to 10 lbs.

$27.00-$32.00
