Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our staff. Under the supervision of the pharmacist, you will answer phone calls, gather patients' contact and insurance information, verify insurance coverage, and fill prescriptions. When patients pick up their prescriptions, you will take payments and ensure they receive the correct medications.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather contact and insurance information
• Answer general questions regarding pharmacy products
• Receive, validate, and process prescription orders
• Speak to doctors and insurance agencies to resolve prescription cost discrepancies
• Monitor inventory, both behind the counter and in the general pharmacy area
• Perform administrative duties such as answering calls and voicemails

Qualifications

• North Carolina Pharmacy Tech License is required
• At least 2 years of retail pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with pharmacy law and medical terminology
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
