Fargo, ND | Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional after-hours for move‐ins/move‐outs)
Salary: $47,000-$57,000 DOE
Oversees three properties in Fargo; supervises on-site staff (Assistant Community Manager, Leasing, Maintenance, Grounds, Caretaking).
Step into a leadership role where your people skills, organization, and heart for community truly matter. As a Community Manager, you’ll run the daily operations for three affordable housing communities—keeping them safe, thriving, and truly “home” for our residents. You’ll be the go-to leader on-site: guiding your team, supporting residents, and making sure the properties look great, perform well, and stay fully occupied.
What You’ll Do
- Own the operations
- Manage budgets, rent collection, vendor invoices, and monthly reporting
- Track financial performance and help keep the communities strong and sustainable
- Drive leasing & occupancy
- Oversee marketing, outreach, and leasing activities to keep units full
- Ensure every prospect and resident has a professional, welcoming experience
- Lead your team
- Hire, train, coach, and schedule on-site staff (leasing, maintenance, grounds)
- Build a positive, accountable, customer-focused culture
- Keep residents safe & supported
- Oversee lease execution, resident files, compliance paperwork
- Coordinate responses to emergencies and resident issues with care and professionalism
- Maintain high standards
- Ensure curb appeal, cleanliness, and safety across all three communities
- Drive timely unit turns so new residents can move in quickly and smoothly
Who Thrives in This Role
We hire for attitude, leadership, and service mindset—and we’ll train you on property-specific skills. If you like being the person who keeps everything running and people rely on, this role is for you.
Highly relevant backgrounds:
- Multi-site / retail or restaurant managers, store/branch managers
- Social services, case management, resident services
- Accounting/office administration (bookkeeping, collections, office manager)
- Leasing or real estate professionals
Also encouraged to apply (no property experience required):
- Hospitality and hotel front desk/operations
- Customer service team leads, call center supervisors
- Education/childcare, healthcare support, nonprofit coordinators
If you’ve led a team, handled customers, juggled schedules, and worked with basic budgets or paperwork, you already have much of what it takes.
Why This Role Matters
You’re not just managing buildings—you’re helping families and individuals access safe, stable, affordable homes. If you want a career where your leadership directly improves people’s lives, this is an opportunity to grow, make an impact, and build a long-term path in property management.
