Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) to join our outpatient clinic. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care through patient assessment, medication management, therapy sessions, and personalized care planning. You will work within an individual practice while collaborating with a broader care team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments to determine mental health needs
- Manage and adjust psychiatric medications as necessary
- Conduct individual therapy sessions to support patient recovery
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation
- Provide consistent follow-up care and monitor patient progress
Required Qualifications
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in psychiatric nursing
- Expertise in psychiatric assessment and medication management
- Strong patient counseling and crisis intervention skills
- Knowledge of mental health diagnosis and therapeutic communication
- Proficient in clinical documentation and team collaboration
- Demonstrated empathy and effective problem-solving abilities
