JOB SUMMARY:

Camp Fire First Texas is accepting resumes for Site Specialists (Teachers) for an After School programs located in Fort Worth, (76109). The hours are 2pm - 6pm, Monday-Friday. 

This is a year-round position, although the hours and location are subject to change during summer months.

The After School Site Specialist (Teacher) is responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where social and self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged and individuality respected. You will be responsible for interacting with youth while assisting with homework, and leading small group activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with youth
• Must pass a criminal background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• College credit in child development, education, or related field
• CDA Certificate, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in child development, education or related field
• Bilingual, English - Spanish is a plus
• First Aid/CPR certified

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to implement curriculum with youth
• Ability to coordinate with other staff to provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment with fun and enriching activities
• Ability to work with school age youth with a maximum ratio of 20 youth per group
• Positive attitude
• Ability to communicate with a diverse population
• Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly, stand and walk for extended periods
