Meals on Wheels of Salem County is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train, schedule, and support the volunteers who make our mission possible. This position is responsible for coordinating meal delivery routes, maintaining volunteer records, organizing volunteer recognition efforts, and building relationships with community partners to grow our volunteer program.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers
• Schedule meal delivery routes and fill substitute shifts
• Maintain volunteer records and track hours
• Serve as the primary contact for volunteers
• Coordinate volunteer appreciation and recognition
• Represent Meals on Wheels at community events and outreach activities
• Assist with volunteer communications and reporting

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
• Experience with volunteer coordination, nonprofit organizations, or office administration preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
