Job Description
TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator with a minimum of 3 years of safety experience in an industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or similar environment. This position is responsible for supporting and improving company safety programs, conducting employee training, maintaining required safety documentation, and promoting a proactive safety culture across multiple worksites.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can build trust with employees, coach safe behaviors, and provide practical guidance in the field. This is not a “policing” style safety role. We are looking for a strong communicator who can serve as a mentor, trainer, and safety resource to employees and supervisors while helping improve overall safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain OSHA logs and required safety documentation.
- Track, document, and assist with workers’ compensation incidents and reporting.
- Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, group training, and refresher training.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of company safety programs.
- Train employees on OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.
- Monitor jobsite and facility conditions to identify hazards and unsafe work practices.
- Coach employees and supervisors on safe work behaviors and corrective actions.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, inspections, and safety-related activities.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits at multiple company locations.
- Assist leadership with identifying trends, recurring hazards, and opportunities for safety improvement.
- Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and encourage a positive safety culture.
Safety Programs May Include
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Hot Work
- Fall Protection / Fall Prevention

- Incident prevention
- Job hazard analysis

- OSHA compliance
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of safety experience in an industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or related environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and workplace safety practices.
- Experience maintaining OSHA logs and safety documentation.
- Experience with workers’ compensation incident reporting and follow-up.
- Ability to conduct safety training for individuals and groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively with hourly employees, supervisors, and management.
- Comfortable working in both office and active industrial environments.
- Must be able to travel between company locations, with approximately 50% travel expected.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA certification.
- Additional safety certifications such as OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, HAZWOPER, or related credentials.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, industrial operations, warehouse operations, or heavy industry.
Ideal Candidate
The right person for this role is approachable, professional, and confident when working with employees at all levels. We are looking for someone who believes in training, mentoring, coaching, and preventing incidents before they happen, rather than simply enforcing rules after the fact.
