Delivery Driver

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of garage doors and related accessories to our customers. Your role will involve handling heavy and potentially fragile items with the utmost care, ensuring that each delivery is completed with professionalism and attention to detail.

Delivery and Transport:

• Safely and efficiently transport garage doors and related products from our warehouse to customer locations.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Loading and unloading or delivery trucks

Care and Handling:

• Handle garage doors and accessories with care to prevent damage during loading, transport, and unloading.
• Utilize appropriate lifting techniques and equipment to manage heavy and bulky items.
• Inspect products for any damage before and after delivery and report any issues to the warehouse supervisor.
• Performing other warehouse duties as needed
• May be asked to help in the warehouse

Customer Service:

• Interact professionally with customers during delivery, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Obtain necessary signatures and confirmation of receipt from customers.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the delivery vehicle to ensure it remains in good working condition.
• Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management promptly.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while driving and handling products.
• Ensure compliance with local traffic laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a delivery driver preferred, especially in handling large and heavy items.
• CDL not required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 lbs.) and perform manual labor.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and follow delivery instructions and maps.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid active driver’s license
