Public Tax Accountant - Now Hiring

PrideStaff is currently seaking a qualified Public Tax Accountant in Gulfport MS!

This position is an in-office position within a close-knit, local public accounting firm. We are seeking a highly skilled individual who can hit the ground running and provide current & future clients with the companies full suite of services.

• Tax Preparation & Reporting - Recent experience in the last two years preparing and filing tax returns for Indivuduals, Partnerships, Coproations and Trusts.
• Payroll & Quarterly Reporting - Recent experience managing full-cycle payroll (including ACH direct deposit batches), preparing W-2s and 1099s, filing Form 940 and handling state quarterly payroll/MDES reporting.
• Full-Charge Bookkeeping - Recent experience in routine bank reconciliations, posting to general ledgers and generating core financial statements (Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets).

Preferred candidates must also be familiar and proficient in the following:

Client Write Ups

• Ability to reconcile bank statements
• Ability to post general ledgers, which will create financial statements
• PNL balance sheets

Quarterly Filing

• File 941 Forms (payroll reports) every quarter
• MS Department of Security (MDES)

Annual Filing

• W2, 1099 & Form 940

Payroll Services

• Direct Deposit (ACH Batch)

Tax Returns

• Trusts, Individuals, Partnerships & Corporations
