Job Description & Requirements

Work Setting: Acute Care
Assessment: Pain assessment, strength testing, ROM (AROM/AAROM/PROM), body mechanics, adaptive/assistive devices
Equipment: Bed alarms, gait belt, walkers, crutches, Hoyer lift, sit-to-stand lift, sliding boards, oxygen delivery
Specialties: Cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics
Orthopedics: Fractures, joint disorders (DDD, DJD, OA), post-op (hip, knee, spine, shoulder), amputations, gait & prosthetic training
Cardiopulmonary: COPD, CHF, CABG, MI, PVD
Neurology: Stroke rehab, TBI, Parkinson’s, MS, dementia
Modalities: Cryotherapy, moist heat
Skills: Home exercise programs, patient & family education
