Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 1+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with a dedicated electrophysiology (EP) lab
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call coverage of 2 weeknights weekly unless working the weekend
- Weekend rotation of every third weekend
- Cerner charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab / EP Technologist
- Current BLS certification
- License required if applicable
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, IABP and Impella insertion, and TAVR
- Experience with EP procedures such as cardiac ablation, mapping, conduction studies, and AICD/pacemaker insertion preferred
- Proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Skills in EKG lead placement, access site prep, hemodynamic monitoring, and arrhythmia recognition
- PACS experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment setup and maintenance, room circulating, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, and inventory/supply stocking
- Follows isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
- Local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate
