Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years experience and ARRT-R or RCIS certification for a cardiology, vascular intervention, and IR role.

Details

  • Work in a cath lab performing cardiology, vascular intervention, and interventional radiology cases
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • On-call responsibilities of 10-12 days per month
  • Facility housing available

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in cath lab, vascular intervention, and IR procedures required
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and ARRT-R or RCIS certification required
  • State license required if applicable
  • Nursys verification required
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Experience with Impella and thrombectomy preferred
  • Proficiency in scrubbing and monitoring for cardiac, vascular, and IR cases
  • Must be able to perform EKG lead placement, vascular access prep, and hemodynamic monitoring

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, room circulating, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Perform procedures such as diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, PCI, IABP and Impella insertion, pacemaker insertion, and vascular closure
  • Support IR procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, and thrombectomy/thrombolysis
  • Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and manage inventory as part of daily duties
  • Must work 3 of the 5 winter holidays
  • RTO requests should generally be kept under 7-10 days and are reviewed case by case; RTO must be factored into total contract length
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Travel pairs accepted on a case-by-case basis
  • Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted for this position
  • Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including for marijuana, and any positive result results in automatic cancellation
