Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (R) certification for a community hospital setting.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a community hospital
- Perform procedures in Hybrid OR and Special Procedures settings
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 5x8 day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Call is split among 3 techs on a rotating schedule including designated weekend and weekday call shifts
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Uses Philips imaging equipment, ultrasound, and PACS system
- May be required to float within the hospital as needed
Requirements
- ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology required
- Community hospital experience required
- Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Proficiency in vascular access, angiography, embolization, stent placement, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy procedures
- Experience with venous access, central line and PICC line care, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Skilled in equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, EKG lead placement, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Two professional references from assignments worked within the last year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing abdominal, pelvic, genitourinary, vascular, and neurological interventional procedures
- Duties include equipment maintenance, supply stocking, and infection control/sterile technique practices
- Role may involve acting as room circulator or scrubbing in to maintain sterile field
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
- Previous staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year and in good standing to be eligible for return
- RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
