Chemical Operator

Material Handler/Chemical Operator – Carpentersville, IL

Our client is a global chemical manufacturer headquartered in Italy, and one of the world's largest producers of specialty chemicals, intermediates, and composites for industrial, transportation, construction, marine, medical, and food additive markets.

Responsibilities:

• Charge, process, and drum chemical products (MT-17, Vinyl Ester blends, Coatings, PEBB)
• Perform daily utility rounds, equipment checks, and basic troubleshooting
• Support shipping/receiving — load/unload trailers and bulk/packaged materials
• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and scale verifications
• Handle environmental duties (waste drum pumping, solvent transfers, tank sticking)
• Prepare equipment/permits for maintenance and aid in training new team members
• Follow all safety protocols, participate in Safety Committee and PHA reviews
• Work overtime as needed and support special projects assigned by management
